We appreciate the group of teachers from around North Carolina who joined us for "Success From The Start: How To Survive And Thrive Your First Three Years In the Classroom" in Cullowhee.
Through experiential learning, teachers explored pedagogical concerns including differentiated instruction, brain-compatible teaching, assessment, the effect of poverty on achievement and behavior, and classroom management.
“Success from the Start: How to Survive and Thrive Your First Three Years in the Classroom,” is a residential program for teachers in their first, second, or third year of teaching.
These programs are designed to reinforce essential skills for good teaching, strengthen instructional practices in the classroom, and build professional networks. The results are improved skill levels and effectiveness of new teachers.
