A huge thank you from NCCAT to Dr. Richard Thompson. He has served NCCAT very well as Executive Director since 2013, and kept us focused on a mission of providing high-quality professional development for the great teachers of North Carolina.
The NCCAT Board of Trustees honored him Tuesday in Raleigh for his service as we prepare for a leadership transition in January to Dr. Brock Womble. The picture shows Dr. Thompson with Board Chairman Linda Daves. Dr. Thompson was presented a cake showing a touchdown being scored as a reminder of his time as a high school football coach, one of many roles he has held in education.
Thanks again to Dr. Thompson for all he has done leading NCCAT down the field and for the teachers of North Carolina!
