Washington County Teacher hones skills at NCCAT

The Roanoke Beacon printed an article recently talking with Washington County instructor Jane Green about attending "Reading Resources: Equipping Your Classroom For Reading Success" in August in Ocracoke.

Green is a Second Language Instructor for Washington County Schools. The program, led by Dr. Ernest Johnson of NCCAT,  explores multiple means of acquiring literacy-related donations and discover open-access materials online. Finally, participate in the sharing of strategies for the effective use of these resources.

Green opened a donorschoose.org account and was able to raise $423.79 for her classroom. Great job!

"Without this (NCCAT) I never would have had the confidence to begin raising money on my own. It was very well thought out program and I'd recommend that other teachers take part," Green said in the article.
