Gov. James B. Hunt Jr. to be Honored at the 25th Anniversary NCCAT Golden Apple Gala

CULLOWHEE (April 30, 2010)—This fall, the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) will celebrate 25 years of service to public education and the teachers of North Carolina. The 25th Anniversary NCCAT Golden Apple Gala also will honor one of our state’s preeminent leaders, former Gov. James B. Hunt Jr., under whose administration NCCAT was formed.

The board’s executive committee unanimously approved Ms. Joan Celestino, Mr. David M. Farris, Dr. John Highsmith and Mr. Michael Owen for membership.
