As a two-time alumnus of NCCAT (1999 & 2005), I know the importance of maintaining the
valuable services that NCCAT provides to North Carolina's teachers.
Not only does NCCAT offer seminars on a wide variety of subject matter (mostly related to the NC Standard Course of Study), it also offers much-needed support to beginning teachers through "Connect to Your Future: Celebrating Success in the Classroom" as well as support for teachers who choose to apply for National Board Professional Teaching Standards certification.
NCCAT has helped retain the best teachers for our children by offering support and services for the last twenty-five years. I believe the next generation of educators deserve the same opportunities as their predecessors, especially at a time when jobs are high in demand and we need the "best of the best" in the classrooms preparing our children for the future.
Please consider approving the funding that NCCAT needs for the next year in order to be operational. It's a valuable resource for all of us.
