Four New Members Join NCCAT Development Foundation Board
CULLOWHEE (August 17, 2010)—Four new names have been added to the board of directors’ roster for the Development Foundation of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT). The board’s executive committee unanimously approved Ms. Joan Celestino, Mr. David M. Farris, Dr. John Highsmith and Mr. Michael Owen for membership. Their three-year terms began on July 1, 2010.

Governor Appoints New NCCAT Trustees
CULLOWHEE (July 8, 2010)—Governor Beverly Perdue has appointed Deborah Aldridge of Old Fort, Gregory West of Fayetteville, and Jackie Wooten of Bethel to the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT).

Gov. James B. Hunt Jr. to be Honored at the 25th Anniversary NCCAT Golden Apple Gala
CULLOWHEE (April 30, 2010)—This fall, the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) will celebrate 25 years of service to public education and the teachers of North Carolina. The 25th Anniversary NCCAT Golden Apple Gala also will honor one of our state’s preeminent leaders, former Gov. James B. Hunt Jr., under whose administration NCCAT was formed.
