Golden Apple Schools: Giving Back to Excellence
The NCCAT experience is so meaningful that teachers want to share it with their colleagues. One way to give back is to aim for Golden Apple School status. NCCAT awards this honor when a school has four or more alumni, and all of the alumni contribute during the current annual fund year.
Twenty-nine schools have earned the Golden Apple School Award for 2009–2010. This number represents a 26% increase over last year and is due primarily to the efforts of NCCAT volunteers who worked in each of these schools. NCCAT appreciates all the teachers who have generously contributed to future generations of teachers. All Golden Apple Schools receive special recognition, a certificate, and a prepared news release submitted to their local papers.
