The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is seeking applicants for a Graphic Designer at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching at Cullowhee, NC.

Salary Grade: GN08

Recruitment Range: $33,960-$41,900

The Graphic Designer position is a part of the Communications section at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching. The Graphic Designer will perform a range of graphic functions used in promotional, instructional, and educational materials for NCCAT.


The Graphic Designer will create visible images that can be used in digital media and print. The work includes but not limited to creating products that visually communicate information through avenues such as catalogs, brochures, books, magazines, banners, web pages, logos, invitations, posters, advertising, teaching aids, and exhibits. This position will execute visual representations by using software and hardware, hand-rendering, various printing practices, and graphic design techniques to market and meet NCCAT’s media needs. This position will require working with the public, our teachers, and NCCAT team members. The employee must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
