Brunswick County School team visits NCCAT

Glad to have a group from Brunswick County Schools with us for a Solution and Planning Teams program. This group will be working on creating quality written comprehension questions that align with the standards as well as the creation of a rubric for each and every question they create, so that when they return, they have a complete set of progress monitoring books along with a question and rubric for each.

NCCAT alumna among NC Regional Teachers of the Year

NCCAT alumna Leah Hayes of South Newton Elementary is among the nine teachers selected to represent their education districts and charter schools as the state's regional Teachers of the Year. These teachers will also be invited to visit us at NCCAT. Congrats to them all!

Monthly Tool Talk - Symbaloo

Symbaloo can be used as a Personal Learning Environment (PLE) for students. Symbaloo is a website where you can store all of your bookmarks online, so that you can have quick access to them. It stores them all into one convenient place. You can create what they call webmixes, by topic or use, for a unit study, or links to different types of media such as WebQuests and videos, that you want your students to visit. There are free versions of Symbaloo and SymbalooEDU.
