Wonderful "Motivating Disengaged Students" program at NCCAT in Ocracoke last week. Teachers worked in a collaborative classroom arrangement. Each teacher shared a small piece of the reasons why students are disengaged and their review of research about strategies to deal with those reasons in during the program led by Dr. Ernest Johnson of NCCAT. Each piece of the puzzle is essential and without their dependence on each other, then they would not be able to understand the whole story about strategies to motivate students who are disengaged in the classroom. Thanks to these teachers for joining us and for the work they will be doing in the state of North Carolina. We can't wait to hear about it.
