NCCAT alums selected in ASCD's Emerging Leaders Class

We're thrilled to see several familiar names among the recently announced ASCD 2015 Emerging Leader Class.

NCCAT alums among the 46 selected from across the country are:

- James Frye, Instructional Technology Coordinator at Newton-Conover City Schools in Newton.

- Rachel Lawrence, Science Teacher at Centennial Campus Magnet School in Raleigh.

- Brian Smith, Responsiveness to Instruction, Professional Development Facilitator with Newton-Conover city Schools in Newton.

Jusmar Maness, Principal at Balfour Elementary School in Asheboro.

"Throughout the program, Emerging Leaders will have the opportunity to serve on ASCD committees, host networking events for educators, and contribute to ASCD publications such as Educational Leadership® magazine and the Inservice blog.

The 2015 Emerging Leader class is the largest since the program’s inception in 2005 and is diverse both professionally and regionally. The class includes educators from 21 states, Indonesia, and Pakistan who hold a variety of roles, including principal, teacher, consultant, curriculum director, and administrator."
