Durham teacher talks about time at NCCAT

We appreciate Kimberly Perry-Sanderlin of Durham Public Schools attending NCCAT multiple times. She recently took time to tell us about what she finds valuable about the NCCAT experience. Kimberly received the Belk Foundation NCCAT Honored Educator Scholarship during one of her visits.

Gaston County Teacher of the Year shares about NCCAT experience

The 2016-17 Gaston County Teacher of the Year Elizabeth "Beth" Crosby from McAdenville Elementary School has been an NCCAT participant at both Cullowhee and Ocracoke campuses.  

She teachers fifth grade, and has 16 years of experience in education. She spoke with us recently about her time at NCCAT.

Success from the Start for Beginning Teachers with NCCAT

We appreciate the group of teachers from around North Carolina who joined us for "Success From The Start: How To Survive And Thrive Your First Three Years In the Classroom" in Cullowhee.

Through experiential learning, teachers explored pedagogical concerns including differentiated instruction, brain-compatible teaching, assessment, the effect of poverty on achievement and behavior, and classroom management.
