Twenty-seven teachers across North Carolina have been selected as finalists for the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Empower Beginning Teacher of the Year Award for their dedication and ability to inspire students.
NCCAT Online courses are self-paced modules. Depending on the course, participants can earn 5 to 15 contact hours. There is no charge for NCCAT Online courses.
Participants will walk away with an enhanced knowledge of how to effectively use picture book. Program takes place February 21-23.

The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Board of Trustees will convene a meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the NCCAT Cullowhee campus, located at 276 NCCAT Drive, Cullowhee, NC, 28723. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss recent legislative matters.

Join NCCAT for Math Badge 1. Badge 1 will focus on core instructional practices. Join us in February and March as we make sense of how the five practices of mathematical discourse and the eight effective teaching practices for mathematics can be integrated into routine practices for Math 1 standards.
