How do we support students to read texts as a historian or as a political scientist? Join NCCAT to explore the world of disciplinary literacy. We will examine the types of texts used in social studies classrooms and develop plans to support students as they read and write through a social studies lens, providing deeper engagement in concepts. This session is designed for secondary social studies teachers and instructional coaches in grades 6-12.
