CULLOWHEE - Educators from Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools completed a successful Teacher Leadership Institute at NCCAT’s Cullowhee campus. The essential components of this NCCAT program cover the concept of leadership before drilling into the specifics of teacher leadership. Educators explore the elements of leadership, teacher leadership potential, personality traits, group dynamics, mentoring, problem solving, teacher leadership standards, and implementing teacher leadership roles in the school setting.

McDowell County educators experience NCCAT Teacher Leadership Experience
CULLOWHEE - Teachers from 14 schools across the McDowell County School district recently participated in professional development sessions created to meet their needs and goals at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development for teachers.
“Teacher Leadership Institute: McDowell County” allowed participants to engage in discussion of leadership principles, personal leadership traits, teacher leadership in schools, group dynamics and other aspects of leadership.
Rockingham County Schools Takes Part in NCCAT Teacher Leadership Program
CULLOWHEE—During a Teacher Leadership Institute program 23 members of a Rockingham County Schools team focused on creating more teacher leaders while at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a nationally recognized leader in professional development.
The four-day program in Cullowhee allowed educators the chance to work on efforts to help teacher leadership in the Rockingham County district. The new offering is designed to respond to the needs of school districts.
Mitchell County Educators Examine Teacher Leadership with NCCAT
OCRACOKE—During a Teacher Leadership Institute program 12 members of a Mitchell County Schools team focused on creating more teacher leaders while at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a nationally recognized leader in professional development.

Burke County Educators Work on Teacher Leadership with NCCAT
CULLOWHEE—A team of Burke County educators worked on creating more teacher leaders in the district during a specialized program from the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a nationally recognized leader in professional development.
For four days in Cullowhee, the 21 educators took part in a variety of efforts to help teacher leadership flourish in the district. The Teacher Leadership Institute program is a new offering designed to respond to the needs of school districts.
