NCCAT Executive Director Receives National Distinguished Service Award

North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Interim Executive Director Dr. Richard L. Thompson was honored, along with two other educators, by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), Friday (Feb. 14), with a Distinguished Service Award. A ceremony to recognize these individuals was held at AASA’s Conference on Education in Nashville, Tenn.

NCCAT Announces Golden Apple Schools

The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a national leader in professional development for teachers, has named four schools as a “Golden Apple School” for their support of the 2013–2014 annual fund.

The schools are: Brinson Memorial Elementary, Haynes-Inman Education Center, Newton-Conover Middle School and Ocracoke School.
