NCCAT groups collaborate from Cullowhee & Ocracoke

Exciting to see the programs "How Do Gifted Students Grow? AIG Concepts and Digital Resources" in Cullowhee led by NCCAT's Elizabeth Joyce and "Literacy Instruction To Promote Critical Thinking" in Ocracoke led by NCCAT's Amy Jo Spencer join together by video this moring. Plenty of sharing and collaboration going on from the mountatins to the see!

Middle Grades ELA: Teaching Beyond the EOG at NCCAT

Thank you to these teachers from across North Carolina for being with us for "Middle Grades ELA: Teaching Beyond the EOG." Teachers are engaging in and crafting their own language arts activities that engage both the child and the budding adult in each of their students. Activities will address reading, writing, thinking, speaking and listening skills. We appreciate these educators being with us and look forward to keeping in touch!

Sciren Coast Networking Event for Teachers in Eastern NC

We appreciate hearing from the Scientific Research and Education Network (SciREN) on work they are doing to partner with the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores to bring local scientists from around Eastern North Carolina to share their research with teachers in the form of classroom activities.

This event will be the evening of February 16th at the Aquarium at PKS, and check-in will begin at 5:45PM. It is free for teachers, and pizza will be provided!
