16178 Boosting Student Success in Math Through Project Based Learning - Cullowhee

How can we close “learning loss” gaps and help students gain confidence and success in math?  Join us as we learn how experiential, learner-centered strategies such as Project Based Learning (PBL) can create environments of deep learning and engagement that work for all students. Using the Design Thinking framework, we will explore what PBL looks like in the math classroom and shift from “doing projects” to authentic PBL. Participants will design a project that can be taken back to their classrooms. Join us as we co-design an experiential teaching and learning culture that helps all students find success, confidence, relevance, and joy in the math classroom. This program is intended for math teachers in grades 6-12.
