The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) is happy to announce the opening of the 2021-2022 NCCAT Honored Educator Scholarship application. The Honored Educator Scholarship Program pays tribute to outstanding educators and individuals whose teaching or influence in public education has made a positive difference in the lives of others. Applications will be accepted from March 1 to May 31, 2021.
Our procedures have changed for those applying for NCCAT’s scholarships. Applicants will need to have a complete myNCCAT account to apply within our student information system, Orbund. Should you need to update your account information, visit https://server8.orbund.com/einstein-freshair/ to login. Incomplete records will not be considered.

Steps to access your HES application:
- Log into your MYNCCAT account with the role selected as Student.
- In your MYNCCAT dashboard, click on the Reference tab on the left-hand side.
- Click on HES Application Form.
- On the right-hand side, click New HES Application Form.
- As you complete this form, make sure your information is complete and accurate as possible for our scholarship reviewers.
- In the Essay Questions section, you can type into the essay boxes. There is a 250-word limit for each.
- Once you complete your application, click Submit Form, and you’re done! The next step will be to wait for NCCAT to inform you of your application status in May.
- Want to know if your HES Form was submitted? Click on the Reference tab and HES Application Form to see your submitted form and submission date.
