North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching is proud to announce Jason Lineberger, an educator with a passion and proven track record of results supporting teachers and positively impacting students is serving as NCCAT Digital Learning Specialist.
"Being a full-time member of the NCCAT team is a dream come true," Lineberger said. "I’m excited to support teachers from the mountains to the coast!”
Lineberger is an educator with 28 years of experience in a variety of traditional and online classrooms. He has been a technology trainer for NC Teacher Academy, an online teacher and course designer for NCVPS, and an online teacher for NCSSM. In 2014 PBS named him one of America’s 100 Digital Innovators. In 2020, with the help of colleagues, Mr. Lineberger launched a fully online K-12 public school, Cleveland Innovation.
Mr. Lineberger has been a full-time teacher at the following schools - R/S Central High School, Holbrook Jr. High, Holbrook Middle, and Shelby High School. Additionally, he has served as a literacy/instructional coach at Burns Middle and Burns High and taught at North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS). He now teaches part-time at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM).
