Cumberland County Schools
This scholarship honors Dr. C. Fletcher Womble Jr. who was raised in the Piedmont area of North Carolina and spent 35 years in public education. He served as the superintendent of Fayetteville City Schools and as the deputy superintendent of Cumberland County Schools from 1980 until he retired in 1989. NCCAT’s C. Fletcher Womble Honored Educator Scholarship pays tribute to his lifelong commitment to the teaching profession.
