CULLOWHEE—Educators from across North Carolina will gather at the campus of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a national leader in professional development, for EdCampWNC on Oct. 24.
This will be the third time EdCampWNC has been held at NCCAT. EdCamps, which began in 2010, are not like a traditional conference with a set schedule determined months ahead of the event. This professional development model has an agenda that is created at the start of the event by the participants to fit their needs. Participants are encouraged to attend sessions that are best for them.
The event will begin with registration, breakfast and networking from 8 to 8:30 a.m. The schedule for the rest of the day is:
8:30–8:45 a.m.—Keynote
9:00 a.m.–12:20 p.m.—Sessions
12:20–1:20 p.m.—Lunch and Networking
1:20–2:00 p.m.—Smackdown and Door Prizes
