Gamification

We've talked before about Gamification here at NCCAT. We are very happy to offer an online course soon that has filled with educators ready to learn. Students are motivated due to personal choice and meaningfulness, real-time feedback, the ability to collaborate or compete, and over time, they learn stay persistent in learning due to prior successes.

At the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, we work to give teachers the tools that they need in an environment that helps them to succeed and connect powerfully with other teachers. We've found that there are a large number of teachers who are not able to attend our face-to-face seminars and programs but who are looking for programming that connects to their needs.

As teachers we all know that getting students motivated and engaged in their own learning is an important first step in any learning cycle. One successful method of engaging students is to reframe the learning into a more enjoyable context.
