CULLOWHEE (September 29, 2015)—The NCCAT “Solution and Planning Teams” program offers educators an opportunity to meet in a residential setting devoid of distraction to create and advance departmental, school, or district-wide projects. These projects might consist of new programming, research, planning, or curricula.

CULLOWHEE (August 25, 2015)—Elizabeth Joyce has been named senior digital literacy specialist at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development for teachers. NCCAT Executive Director Richard Thompson announced the appointment, effective August 17th.
CULLOWHEE (August 18, 2015)—Middle Fork Elementary School has experienced direct benefits from an ongoing professional development working relationship with the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, according to Principal Sara Cook.
The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school first had two teachers attend an NCCAT program lead by faculty member Dr. Deb Teitelbaum.

To quell this loss of talent in North Carolina, the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching has created a digital library containing videos and other materials to aid teachers—novice and veteran—in mastering the most common sources of frustration and confusion: Behavior Management, Brain Compatible Teaching, Differentiated Instruction, Assessment, and Taking Care of Yourself.
