CULLOWHEE - The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) has added communication and collaborative tools for presenters and participants while they are on the Cullowhee campus. Teachers have the opportunity to learn from and use the state of the art technology in our Makerspace lab.

CULLOWHEE - NCCAT's Honored Educator Scholarship (HES) program
CULLOWHEE – Educators can apply now for high-quality professional development in February and March with the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development. Increasing teacher effectiveness is fundamental to improving public education.
CULLOWHEE—Gaston County teacher Kim Suddreth found the sharing of viewpoints and tools very beneficial during the "Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Digital Format" program recently at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development.
The Cullowhee NCCAT Sunshine Committee led an effort by NCCAT employees to take part in the “Stuff the Bus” effort by Jackson County Schools. Employees donated approved hygiene items, individually pre-packaged snakes, and gently used clothing and shoes.
CULLOWHEE—Teachers from across North Carolina were able to explore aspects of daily schedule, classroom community, executive functioning, developmentally appropriate best practices, growth mindset and authentic assessment during “NC PreK: Oral Language is Reading Readiness” in Cullowhee Nov. 13–16.

This #GivingTuesday, NCCAT will celebrate giving by thanking North Carolina teachers and those who support them in their dedication towards advancing the teaching profession.
CULLOWHEE—Participants who took part in high-quality professional development at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development programming for teachers, are sharing about the experience on social media.
Teachers have been using the Twitter hashtag #NCCATimpact to share what they have done with NCCAT programs since they returned to the classroom.
CULLOWHEE—Henderson County Public School system beginning principals and system leaders continued a professional development program they have hosted at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching.
