Applications for 2022 are now being accepted. Please complete your application by April 30, 2022. Honored Educator Scholarships (HES) provide an opportunity for selected teachers to attend an NCCAT seminar of their choice. An HES covers all costs associated with participation in a five-day NCCAT seminar, including program materials, instruction, food, lodging, transportation, and substitute teacher. The honored educator also receives $250 for use in the classroom.

Success from the Start registration for January open
Open to teachers in their first, second, or third year of teaching, this program supports motivated beginning teachers by strengthening their knowledge base and classroom expertise. Teachers will develop their craft by understanding how to teach to the depth of their standards and differentiating for multiple levels of learners. Beginning educators will also have the opportunities to refine their teaching philosophies and class expectations.

NC STEM Schools of Distinction Rubric: Tool for School Improvement at NCCAT
We appreciate these educators joining us for "NC STEM Schools of Distinction Rubric: Tool for School Improvement" in Cullowhee. During this three-day planning institute schools will review the overarching principles of the Rubric, consider what each principle means in the context of their individual school, assess the school’s readiness, draft a strategic plan and develop next steps for school improvement or to apply for the NC STEM Schools of Distinction. The institute will include whole group discussion to learn from best practices across the state and individual school team planning.
