Two new members appointed to NCCAT Board of Trustees
CULLOWHEE – Speaker of the House of Representatives Tim Moore has appointed two members to the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT), a recognized national leader in professional development programming for our state's teachers.
NCCAT ANNOUNCES FIVE PRESTIGIOUS TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS FOR HOLOCAUST SEMINAR IN POLAND
NCCAT is proud to announce scholarship awards for five outstanding teachers to attend a Holocaust Educator Seminar in Poland this summer. The five scholarship recipients stood out from among 45 teachers who applied. They will be awarded these scholarships from the NCCAT Development Foundation’s Holocaust Endowment Fund. A decision about the trip will be made later as world events allow.

Join NCCAT in April for program "It’s Time: Empowering Problem-Solvers" in Cullowhee. Now more than ever, it is time to empower our math learners with strategies that honor students’ strengths and propel problem-solving forward. In this session, we will discuss student-centered practices that move learning beyond simply finding the “correct answer.” We will learn strategies for problem-solving instructional routines as well as protocols to facilitate tasks in the math classroom. Authentic problem-solving needs engagement, supports, and encouragement.
