It allows the Martin County Teacher of the Year to attend an NCCAT program of his or her choice. The scholarship covers all costs associated with your participation in an NCCAT program including: instruction; food and lodging on the NCCAT campus; program materials; travel to and from the campus from the teacher’s home and payment for the substitute teacher while they attend NCCAT.

Performance-based Measurements (PBMs) provide Career and Technical Education teachers a tool to evaluate student achievement and mastery of course concepts. Understanding how to utilize the PBM as a dynamic tool to improve student outcomes is essential to maximizing learning in the CTE classroom. This program is designed to support CTE teachers implementing a PBM as the required proof of learning for their course(s). Throughout the week, participants will learn how to use the PBM as an instructional tool, discover models for monitoring student progress, and identify strategies to maximize student learning and outcomes.
