CULLOWHEE (October 27, 2015)—A meeting of the board of trustees of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching will be held in Raleigh from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10.

CULLOWHEE (October 21, 2015)—The Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) has selected Dr. M. Brock Womble as its next Executive Director. Womble has more than 22 years of experience in education in a variety of state, local and national leadership roles.

CULLOWHEE—Educators from across North Carolina will gather at the campus of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a national leader in professional development, for EdCampWNC on Oct. 24.

December will be here before we know it, and when it comes NCCAT has come great professional development opportunities. From surviving and thriving in the 90-minute block to digital learning in K-2 grades there is a professional development opportunity for you. The overarching focus of these programs is to increase an educator's capacity to improve learning outcomes for all children. 

CULLOWHEE (October 6, 2015)—The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a recognized national leader in professional development programming for teachers, now has another way to connect with teachers with the launch of an account on Instagram (@nccatnews).

CULLOWHEE (September 29, 2015)—The NCCAT “Solution and Planning Teams” program offers educators an opportunity to meet in a residential setting devoid of distraction to create and advance departmental, school, or district-wide projects. These projects might consist of new programming, research, planning, or curricula.

This offering was formerly titled “Research and Development Teams” program.
